What Does Your Home Décor Say About You?

Have you ever thought about what your home décor says about you? Some of us put more thought and effort into our home décor than others but even those who strive to have a great home may not put much thought into what it really says about them.
There are so many different home décor styles- neither better nor more impressive than the other. The home décor style you like really comes down to your personality and what styles you like and feel comfortable in. You shouldn’t decorate your home the way you think someone else wants it to be, but instead in a way that makes you feel good. After all, you will be the one spending the most time there.
There are as many different styles out there as there are people and this is what makes each home décor style so unique. From Western, Asian, contemporary, elegant and more- there are styles for everyone. Which style you choose isn’t the most important thing.
What’s important is that you choose something that suits you and that expresses who you really are. When people come into your home, they should feel that they are in your personal space. Your home should reflect who you are and may also reflect other people who live in your home as well.
For example, if you are a single female, you may decorate your home in a more feminine style than you would if there were others living in your home. Shabby chic is a good theme to go with in this case. Asian themes can be good for most anyway, country is good for a real “homey” feel and some people prefer a modern décor.
Whatever you choose for your home make sure it’s something that you like and feel comfortable with and also consider what it will say about you to people who visit your home. Make sure your home décor is saying what you want it to.
