Christmas Ornament
Christmas crafts are a wonderful way to get your family involved and start a new tradition. If you’re looking for something new and unique this holiday season, and also a way to save a little money on your holiday decorations, why not try making your own Christmas ornaments. This is a great way to get the whole family involved in the holidays and also a great way to share something extra special this holiday season. You could make ornaments to give to friends and family members or just to decorate your own home or tree in something truly unique.
There are many different types of Christmas ornaments you can make yourself. Today we are going to talk about glass (or plastic) bulbs. Later, we will talk about the other types you can make.
You need to start with a plain glass (or plastic) Christmas bulb. Gently remove the metal top from the ornament and save it for when you are finished decorating. Now you can use paint, glue and glitter to decorate the ornament any way you wish. If you use paint, you can sprinkle some glitter along the design for that added “pop”.
You can also add jewels, beads, ribbons and other types of decor to your glass bulbs.
If you are more skilled with the paintbrush, you might even decide to add pictures and symbols to your bulbs. After your bulb is decorated and dried, you can also add small items inside to make it “jingle” or rattle. Then you can reinsert the metal top and all you need is a hook and your handmade Christmas ornament is ready to go!
Happy Holidays!

I am interested in purchasing large round glass bulbs to make Christmas ornaments. I had some a few years ago. But, this year could not find the bulbs in the local craft stores.
Thanks for your help.
